As the National Football League prepares for its 90^th campaign, online sportsbook gambling operators are predicting a banner season for online sportsbook betting.  It was only this past February that the online sportsbook gambling casinos out booked the traditional land-based casinos in Super Bowl wagering.  Furthermore, since that time, there has been a precipitous fall-off in sportsbook wagering in traditional land-based casinos, while online sportsbook gambling has risen each month.

Perhaps there is no sport that attracts the betting interest of patrons throughout the world more than the National Football League.  There seems to be a buzz around the sporting circles as the anticipation of the upcoming N.F.L. season approaches.  While there are a few teams that are the favourites to win the Super Bowl next February, the wagering is already hot and heavy in online sportsbook gambling parlours. 

It is always a wise wager to bet on a championship wager before the season opens.  The odds are terrific, and you will be focused on your team for the duration of the season.  The New England Patriots are perennial favourites, and they have Tom Brady back at quarterback after he missed just about the entire season in 2008 due to a leg injury.  He evidently has rehabbed tenaciously, and is expected to open the season at quarterback for the Patriots. 

It is interesting to note that the Patriots, who opened up at 6-1 odds, are now down to 5-1on the basis of the full recovery of Brady.  The Pittsburgh Steelers, last year’s Super Bowl Champs, also were initially installed by the bookmakers at 6-1, and are presently at those odds.  Steeler quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, has a legal matter pending in the courts which could prove to be a distraction in the long run for himself and his teammates.  Both the Steelers and the Patriots represent the American Conference.

The New York Giants are the top-rated team from the National Conference, despite the loss of star receiver Plaxico Burriss.  The Giants decided to part ways with their hero from their Super Bowl Championship of 2008, and it appears to have been a good move.  Burriss was just indicted on weapons charges in New York City, and probably would miss a great portion, if not all, of this upcoming campaign.
