The National Hockey League playoffs are underway, and the first round results are in.  In the Eastern Conference, the only upset was the Carolina Hurricanes over the New Jersey Devils due to a miracle finish.  New Jersey is a perennial power, although they have suffered from unaggressive defensemen who often make it appear as if the opposing team is on a non-stop power play.

The series was tied at 3 games apiece, and the deciding game was played on Jersey ’s home ice.  The online sports gambling parlours were brisk with action that evening, because the New York Rangers were playing the Washington Capitals in the seventh and deciding game of their series also.

The New York Metropolitan Area was buzzing with excitement with the anticipation that both the N.J. Well, the Guru has good news for those of you who followed his advice regarding the overall NHL playoffs.  The top two selections, Vancouver and Boston , both moved on to the second round of the playoffs.  If you wagered Vancouver to take it all on the advice of the Guru last week, you would have had at least 10-1 odds.  Now, the odds are down to 5-1 that Vancouver will walk away with the Stanley Cup.
