Online Gambling Update

Online Gambling May Pay for Health Care Reform. There has been action in the United States and Denmark recently with respect to the online gambling industry. All eyes are looking for legislation coming out of Washington D.C.

As the Congress of the United States readies a health care plan of behemoth proportions for passage onto the Senate, online gambling has become a major factor in its passage.  The Health Reform Bill is estimated to cost the taxpayers of the United States over $1 Trillion.  If you add this cost onto the present deficit that already is in the trillions, it is obvious that taxpayers are uneasy with its passage.

To assuage their fears, Congressmen Jim McDermott and Barney Frank have co-sponsored a bill to explicitly legalize and regulate online gambling in the United States.  They have received solid support among membership that had previously been on the fence when it was announced that the online gambling industry could bring up to $41.8 billion in revenue for the government over the next ten years.

Politicians are now seeing online gambling in the United States as a way of subsidizing its massive debt.  In return, Congress hopes it will attract the attention of Senators so that the Health Reform Bill can eventually be passed.  Through taxing and licensing fees, the flow of billions of dollars currently lost to offshore gambling will be retained by the U.S. Government.

In Denmark, known for its liberalism, the online gambling laws have come under fire by the European Commission.  The Commission believes the Danish regulations are not in compliance with the commission’s mandate to create a level playing field for a more open online gambling industry among member states.  This situation will be watched closely over the next few months.

In the meantime, people all over the world can enjoy the finest in casino action by playing free casino games on free casino sites.  These sites offer free casino games at no cost to you.  So, while countries debate the efficacy of their online gambling regulations, I’ll just sit down and play a few games of online blackjack.

The beauty of free casino sites is that there is no regulatory commission that can decide what games I play or for how long.  My choice of games does not need congressional approval, and I can enjoy my recreational activity without interruption, if I so choose.  There is no more even playing field in the online casino gambling industry than free casino sites.
